Human creativity

Here are a few words about human creativity from Edward de Bono:

“There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.”

Not all songs are going to be hit singles.

Not all canvases are going to make it to the exhibition.

Not all our posts are going to go viral.

My take on creativity is that a piece of work needs to be informative, entertaining, or educational.

Give consumers an “Aha” moment or have them ask: “just how did they do that?”

To the creative process, practice is everything – keep composing, keep painting, keep writing.

As brilliantly summed up below, it’s important for us to train and build our creative muscles, using critical thinking and problem-solving.

“The creative process involves critical thinking and problem-solving skills. From songwriters to television producers, creative individuals generally go through five steps to bring their ideas to fruition—preparation, incubation, illumination, evaluation, and verification.” – masterclass.com

Good luck with all your creative endeavours.
