Hands-on Lead Generation, Sales and Marketing Support For Business Owners.

Consistent action

Consistent action delivers results.

And when we achieve something special, it puts a smile on our face and a spring in our step.

Although the feel-good factor gives us energy, this burst of energy will soon dissipate if too much of the day-to-day paraphernalia gets in the way.

So, how do we maintain momentum?

Here are 3 ideas. They’ve certainly helped me. I hope they help you too.

  1. Remember the reason why you started a project

Ask yourself if this reason is still relevant and burningly important. Focus on this “why” and use it as motivation to keep your project moving forward.

Visualise the impact the completed project will have on your business and identify with the progress made so far.

  1. Set reachable goals. Steer away from setting goals that are impossible to reach anytime soon.

I use visualisation and find it helps me a lot. For example:

  • A goal for the number of new clients I’d like New Era to work with each year and; to this end, visualise a sales funnel with all the business opportunities moving along through it
  • A goal for the number of new people I wish to connect with each day. For this, I visualise the process of sitting down to send out the pre-determined number of connection requests or emails.

For those who wish to join my network, then I work on supplying them with content that appeals to them and arrange a call with those who wish to discuss a project, or simply wish to hear more about New Era’s lead generation process.

  • A goal for writing and posting content. The simple act of setting aside a regular time slot to sit down and write down a few words, works for me.

Roald Dahl had his regular writing slots in a shed in the back garden of his Buckinghamshire house. J K Rowling wrote a lot of the first Harry Potter book in an Edinburgh coffee shop

  1. Expect hurdles along the way

Challenges are all a part of running a project and it’s how you react to those challenges that impact your project’s success and momentum.

Instead of letting challenges stop you in your tracks, embrace them with open arms. Expect challenges along the way and take them one step at a time.

The more challenges you face and overcome, the better the results you will get and the stronger your business will become.

And, to top it all, the more motivation your company will have to keep the momentum going.

A beautiful circle of momentum!
